Stuttgart International Airport STR: Well connected to Europe and the World

Stuttgart is accessible by plane via the Stuttgart airport. With 56 airlines and about 120 destinations including non-stop flights from European cities as well as cities from all over the world, it is very convenient to get to Stuttgart by plane.

Arrival by train

With around 160 connections daily, Stuttgart‘s central railway station (Hauptbahnhof) is an important junction for international rail traffic. The railway network (ICE, TGV and IC) provides convenient direct links between Stuttgart and many German and European metropolises.

The Stuttgart Region has an excellent public transport network. Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund Stuttgart (VVS) offers an environment-friendly and comfortable way to move around. 

How to get to Campus University Stuttgart

From STUTTGART AIRPORT: 

In 16 minutes by directly linked S-Bahn (S2, S3) 

The train stop is located directly beneath the airport. Just follow the signs marked “S”. Take a train (S2 or S3) into the direction “Hauptbahnhof” (central station). Buy a ticket for two zones at one of the orange colored vending machines or via vvs-app. Take a train to the station (“Hauptbahnhof”) and get off there. Take either the City railway U29 or U14: station “Börsenplatz” or the bus 40 or 42: stop “Katharinenhospital”.

 

From MAIN TRAIN STATION

In 10 minutes from Stuttgart city center / central station by directly linked S-Bahn (S1, S2, S3). Take either the City railway U29 or U14: station “Börsenplatz” or the bus 40 or 42: stop “Katharinenhospital”.
